"Congratulations on a well developed, well organized and useful course. I had a great time, loved the dynamics, all the instructors were so helpful to everyone, not to mention generous and nice! So refreshing in a world of inflated egos."

“I love it. I got so much out of it. I came here thinking avoidance, avoidance avoidance. I thought it was going to be how to walk, how to make eye contact, how to carry your keys, but this taught us about ‘you’re in it up to here, now what are you going to do?’”

Carol Ann,
I wanted to say THANK YOU.  I took your class Saturday at the Rec Center at WVU.  I left the class feeling very confident that if I found myself in a situation in which I was being assaulted I COULD defend myself.  What an empowering feeling.

Hi Carol Ann,
Thanks for the great class on Saturday.  Your enthusiasm and passion for FLG really comes through when you teach.  I've already had requests for the next class.
“I want to thank you for the wonderful class on Sunday. I went home exhausted and feeling so much better knowing I knew so much more than I had a few hours earlier. All women and young girls should have this class. So I am sort of taking it upon myself to tell as many women as I can about your class."

"I thought the class was awesome!  I think all of the girls were very receptive.  The class was fun but at the same time, it taught us great tactics for self defense.  You were very motivating and I think the girls felt very comfortable with you (Carol Ann Williams)."

I recently attended my very first FLAG class. This is something that every woman needs to do for herself. As someone that has experienced an attack in my own home I became painfully aware in a very brief span of time how vulnerable we are. We will never be... as physically strong as the man attacking us. But this training is about using our own unique body makeup to do what should be the most important thing to us at the time of an attack - to get away. To survive. If you have a daughter, have her take this class. If you have a wife, girlfriend, loved one, encourage her to do this for herself. If you are wondering whether or not you should learn this stuff, YOU SHOULD!
The question was asked to Shepherd University students, What did you like best about the program?  Here are some comments.

1.  I learned how to handle situations that happen in real life.
2.  That I have confidence in how to defend myself.
3.  Being able to make it as close to real life as possible.
4.  The video was an eye opener.  Makes you re-think social environments.
5.  I liked how they used situations that are likely to happen while in college.
6.  The teacher (&aids) positive attitude & they were all approachable for questions.
7.  I like the fact that they showed real live situations no matter how uncomfortable.
8.  In depth practice.
